Python Job: Data Scientist

Working under the Europe & Middle East Data & Insights Direction, you will join the Data Science team as a Data Scientist. Our ambition is to develop use cases around Artificial Intelligence & predictive analysis in a business context, following two main axes: customer experience personalization and operations optimization (recommendation engines, customer scoring, activity forecasts, dynamic pricing/promotion…)

You will excel and enjoy this position if you are ready to actively handle the following missions:

End to End development of a Machine Learning/AI project, collaborating with different business and IT teams on the following main steps:

• 
  Conducting business framing workshops
• Translating the business need to an algorithm: Proof-Of-Concept
• Validating the business value created by the algorithm: Proof-Of-Value
• Deploying, with the IT teams, the algorithm to the business teams

Be proactive on optimization leads in order to maintain and develop the performance of existing algorithms.

Participating with the Data Science team to the best practices implementation:

• 
  MLOPS: Monitoring, Alerting, relearning strategy…
• Measuring the Business value generated by Data Science usages: Pilot & Run
• Time-To-Market: from development to usage

Fluency to communicate your results and the AI contribution to the Business teams.

Being Data Scientist at SEPHORA is the opportunity to work on projects with a real & positive impact on the activity, using & crunching mountains of data to feed the models (Transactional, Online, Products, stocks…).

Do not hesitate to apply if you have… or if you are …

• You have a Master Degree or equivalent with a specialization in Data Science/Machine Learning
• You master the principal Machine Learning approaches (RandomForest, XGBOOST, LightGBM, LSTM …) both supervised & unsupervised
• You have 5+ years of experience implementing Machine Learning projects: business framing, POC, POV, deployment
• You master Python and SQL
• Knowing Dataiku DSS is a plus
• Knowing Cloud Data Platforms is a plus (example : GCP)
• Experience working on ML projects in a Retail, e-commerce, Supply context is a plus
• At Sephora you will evolve in an international environment (Europe, Middle East), in this context, fluent English spoken & written is mandatory.
